A Superb Small Gold Decorated All Steel Ottoman Dagger (Card) Circa 1850.

6 and 3/4 inch single edged blade with fine wootz Damascus pattern. The Forte wiith a large panel heavily Damascened with blossoms and foliage in gold. Steel hilt of Damascus steel within panels surmounted by heavily gold Damascened bands of foliage. The pommel gold Damascened with a pattern of descending gold lines.

Condition overall is excellent with little or no loss to the heavy gold and Damascus pattern on the blade is clear. 10 and 3/4 inches overall. This kard will delight the advanced collector of Islamic daggers.
