A Good, Rare & Original 'Hudson's Bay' 'Dag' Native American Trade Knife Properly Stamped JUKES COULSON & CO, Circa 1880.
10 and 3/8th inch large spear point blade cut with two classic Jukes rectangular notches at the ricasso. Blade is 2 and 3/8th inches wide at base. The JUKES COULSON logo is properly stamped in a rectangular reserve, the company’s letters in relief. Blade shows skillful old sharpening and attractive vintage rust patination.
Classic Jukes one piece “dog bone” shaped oak grip studded with 38 vintage small brass tacks, 19 on each side. The grip with cracks and striations to be expected from a well used 150 year old trade knife, 16 inches overall.
