A Fine And Elegant Long French Silver Mounted Holster By LePage Moutier Made For A Middle Eastern Gentleman Of Means Circa 1830.
14 and 1/2 inch round barrel octagonal at breech. .68 caliber. The barrels finely etched at the breech with foliage. Bolted lock with brass pan signed “LePage Moutier Arq (Arquebusier) A Paris. Full silver mounts cast and chased in relief with foliage and blossoms, the triggerguard and spurred buttcap with French silver hallmarks.
Figured plain walnut fullstock in good condition. Steell tipped ramrod. This is a massive pistol measuring 21 inches overall by one of France’s premier gunmakers, LePage Moutier.
