A Good Sharps Model 1874 Sporting Rifle With Factory Letter Invoicing It to Hartley & Graham on March 20, 1875.
30 inch full octagonal barrel. 40 caliber (case length not listed in letter). Globe front sight, peep sight missing but folding rear sight is intact. Weight of rifle is 9 pounds 12 ounces. Typical Sharps action. Pewter nose cap.
The barrel and action mostly a smooth gray patina with crisp edges. Rear stock has been sanded and is undersized at steel buttplate. Fore-end has been lightly sanded but still attractive. Single trigger. Action is perfect on both cocks and mainspring is strong. The bore is fair to good.
